Job Title: Receptionist / Accounting Clerk

Reports To: Office Manager

Job Summary:  As the first point of contact for our organization, the receptionist / accounting clerk plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for visitors, clients, and staff. They relay incoming phone calls and perform various clerical tasks across the organization. In addition, this position would assist our Accounting Department with some basic Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks. To be successful as a Receptionist/Accounting Assistant, you should have a pleasant personality and some basic accounting knowledge, as this is also a customer service role. This position is part-time with an opportunity for growth.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm

 

Details: Part – Time position with opportunity for growth.

 

Duties include but are not limited to;

  • Answers calls on a multi-line phone system.

  • Takes accurate messages and efficiently transfers calls to the appropriate person.

  • Assist Accounting Department as needed with filing, matching/mailing vendor payments, entering new jobs for customers, & reconciling vendor statements. 

  • Types correspondence and memorandums in the proper format. 

  • Proofreads and distributes documents as assigned.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to fill in for vacations as needed.
