Job Title:  Hardware Store Manager

Reports To:  Operations Manager

 

Job Summary:  Responsible for overseeing all elements in the daily operation of the retail store. 

 

Duties include but are not limited to;

 

  • Provides excellent customer and employee service.

  • Proactively ensures the store is operating efficiently.

  • Creates and distributes weekly employee schedules.

  • Trains store staff on all necessary programs, including the Point of Sale operating system, Cash Handling, and Safety Procedures. 

  • Orders new merchandise promptly to stay ahead of demand. 

  • Makes sure the store displays are in line with the current product offerings. 

  • Addresses customer complaints promptly.  Notifies management if needed. 

  • Manages controllable costs.

  • Generates daily sales reports and cash drawer audits.  

  • Notifies management immediately of cash or register inconsistencies.

  • Notifies management immediately of any employee disciplinary issues. 

  • Conducts product inventory checks as determined by management. 

  • Guarantees the store and stock room are clean and clear of debris.

  • Manages budget and maintains financial records.

  • Promptly advises the marketing department of any changes to product offerings.

  • Conducts yearly employee evaluations. 

  • Provides employee disciplinary action if needed. 

  • Assists with other duties as assigned. 

                                      
Work Schedule: This position requires applicant to work on Saturdays. 
 
Education/Experience: High School Diploma.  Previous retail management required.
