Job Title: Outside Salesperson
Reports To: Sales Manager
Job Summary: To generate sales by prospecting for new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with current customers.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Contacts prospective and current customers to solicit sales of company products and services.
Responds to customer inquires promptly.
Follows up on customer inquires and provides price quotes as necessary.
Ensures customers are aware of new product information.
Follows up with sales leads generated through incoming calls, advertising campaigns, social media, and other promotional efforts.
Travels to customer locations to present company products, services, and pricing information in a professional manner.
Applies technical knowledge of company products and services to meet customer needs best.
Maintains proper records for each customer to assist with developing sales forecasts.
Submits appropriate paperwork to management, such as expense and call reports.
Understands and supports company sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers and encourage long-term business relationships.
Assists and resolves customer complaints promptly. Notifies management of challenges and suggests solutions.
Collects and reports competitive information to management.
Attends training sessions and trade shows on behalf of the company to present products and services.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education / Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior sales experience required.
Certifications / Licenses: Must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
