Job Title: Pressure Treatment Plant Operator

Reports To: Treatment Plant Manager

Job Summary:  As integral team members, our Plant Operators hold the responsibility for the pressure treatment of poles and lumber, upholding the highest standards of quality. Moreover, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, encompassing pumps, motors, piping, and more. We are seeking an individual with a strong blend of computer and mechanical skills to contribute to the efficiency and safety of our operations.

Work Hours: Monday - Day Shift, Tuesday through Thursday - 2nd Shift, Some weekends as needed.

Duties include but are not limited to;

  • Perform pressure treatment of lumber and poles according to industry standards.

  • Operate and maintain pressure-treating equipment.

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant machinery.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including pumps, motors, and piping.

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe workplace, adhering to all safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with the team to optimize production processes.

  • Utilize computer skills to input data, monitor equipment, and generate reports.

  • Maintain accurate records of pressure treatment processes and equipment maintenance.

  • Follow safety procedures to ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • In order to excel in this role, an individual must proficiently fulfill each essential duty. The requirements outlined below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for success.

  • Relevant professional background in the lumber or building materials industry.

  • Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.

  • Proven experience in pressure treating lumber and operating related equipment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Computer proficiency for data entry, equipment monitoring, and basic maintenance software.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
